Latté is our Champion natural-eared Briard. The Briard; or Chien Berger de Brie, is an ancient French herding breed dating back to the eighth century. Once the official dog of the French army, Briards served in both world wars as sentry dogs and were used to carry supplies and messages to the front lines. Due to their keen hearing, Briards were used by the medical corps to search for wounded soldiers.

Latté started life as the runt of her litter and no one was sure she would live. She has flourished thanks to her breeders; Sharon Robinson and Michelle Coughlin, and their Vets at Black Horse Animal Hospital. Thanks also to our friends; Noreen and Michael Sankovich of Lunier Briards: www.lunierbriards.com without whom we wouldn't have this special girl in our family. Latté started her show career as a whim on my part to see if I could learn to be a handler. Boy, did we have fun and she loves the show ring!!! It has been an experience and we have met a lot of Briard lovers who have all been extremely helpful and supportive. Latté is exclusively owner/handled by me.
Since completing her Championship, she has been taking it easy and relaxing at home with her brothers; Trooper & Rooster, and the cats. She will be back in the ring; the obedience ring, in the future in Rally Obedience trials and we also will be working on gaining her C.G.C.(Canine Good Citizenship) title.
