Rooster, 5 years old and loving life!!
He's a happy boy!!
Rooster arrives home

Rooster is our 2nd Briard.  He is a joy and such a fun-loving, goofy boy.  He was a very large puppy and caused his mother to have a ceasarean birth due to his being stuck in the birth canal.  This unfortunate incident caused him to be oxygen-deprived during his birth; which in turn, caused him to have a rare disease called Cerebellar Hypoplasia.  This is not congenital.  He has learned to compensate very well as he has grown; especially since going swimming at a local canine spa.  His motor skills have improved immensely, and other than not being able to "do steps" he enjoys his life and has such a "gusto" for everything he comes in contact with.

We are very grateful to his breeder; Sharon Robinson, for not putting him down due to this unfortunate event and entrusting his care to us.  We love Rooster so very much and he has a lot of fans from the Briard world.  He met a lot of people at the Briard National Specialty in Sturbridge, MA in August of 2004.  He enjoyed going up and down in the elevators and exploring the grounds of the hotel.  He has such a lust for life and new things that he comes in contact with.
